20-year-old French international Ousmane Dembele has reportedly agreed to move to Arsenal by the end of the season despite spending just a season with Barcelona. The Frenchman made a big-money move to the Blaugranas from Borussia Dortmund during the last summer transfer window but has failed to establish himself as an integral part of the team due to the four-month hamstring injury he picked up against Getafe in his first appearance for the team.
Having played just 13 matches in all competitions for the La Liga giants, the impressive winger has revealed his plan to move out of Camp Nou this summer.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon, claims that Dembele could be heading to Arsenal where he would reunite with his former Borussia Dortmund’s teammate Pierre-Emerick. The Gabonese striker is one of Dembele’s closest friends during their time with the Bundesliga side before the Frenchman’s switch to Barcelona in 2017.
It was reported last month via Daily Mirror that Aubameyang advised Arsene Wenger to ensure he acquire the Frenchman’s signature in the summer. The Gabonese striker believes Dembele would bring more spark to the Gunners’ attack in the 2018-19 season.
Don Balon also report that Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a move for the youngster as he hopes to find a perfect replacement for Mohammed Salah who remains Real Madrid’s prime transfer target when the summer transfer window begins. The German manager remains uncertain over the Egyptian future at Anfield and he is set to bring another striker to his team.
