Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sanctions Man United deal for in-demand midfielder

Ander Herrera has stalled contract talks with Manchester United in a bid to extend his stay. Soon-to-be Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is growing tired and alerted the club to sign Paris Saint-Germain reject Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot has been dumped in club’s reserve since remaining adamant and standoffish about extending his stay at the Parisian club.

Despite being ostracised away from others by the club’s sporting director Antero Henrique, the 23-year-old who used to be the club’s midfield heartbeat is not short of suitors.

Rabiot will continue to knock around until summer when he would leave for free. Barcelona was hugely tipped as his destination, but that’s unlikely to happen with the Spaniard’s already clinching the deal for Frenkie de Jong.

Only suitors left are Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool is thought to be the next likely side he’s raring to join having been a fan of the English side since his boyhood days.

However, the Mirror is reporting United want to steal a march on Liverpool, snatching him first after they were pipped by Real Madrid in signing 50 million euros Eder Militao.

A report from the Sun, as cited by the Metro says the player is demanding a wage that’s around £200,000-per-week, including a £10m signing-on fee.

Albeit that won’t put a dent on United’s fat finances, their real problem is fending off interests from rivals Liverpool.
