Talks bandying about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s gossiped contract with former club Molde has been rubbed out.
The caretaker manager who has been hugely tipped to nail the Manchester United job after the Mancunians gave Jose Mourinho the boot before Christmas.
Solskjaer’s contract had almost turned into a big mess after his former club Molde were keen on dragging talks the 46-year-old was still contracted at the Norwegian outfit.
But talks of his ongoing contract at the club has been quickly put to sleep. Molde has pulled down news about the contract from their website.
“You cannot have two contracts when you’re a manager,” cried Solskjaer who led United to a stunning comeback in Parc de Princes .
It adds to the strings of brilliant results and wow factor that has sprung up in the side.
During Mourinho’s regime, United had been cast into a state of gloom, and it appeared fans were never going to smile into the new season.
But, it turns out they would. United have clawed back into the Premier League race. They reached the quarter finals of both thee FA Cup and the Champions League, and words rolling out of everyone’s lips is when will the club officially announce Solskjaer as manager.
His supposed contract at Molde would have been a bottleneck, but that has now been cleared.
