Chelsea pulled a stunt in the transfer market signing Christian Pulisic over, beating rivals Liverpool for the 20-year-old signature.
Pulisic was signed for a reported fee of 58 million pounds, but has been loaned back to Dortmund for the rest of the season.
His arrival has had fans teeming praises over the deal and midfielder N’golo Kante stated after the draw with Southampton at the Bridge, that the rest of the squad were looking forward to teeing up with the young star.
Pulisic has long been chased by Chelsea and his arrival has been welcomed with a positive spirit.
Pulisic was the spine of Dortmund’s attack during Klopp’s spell as boss and continued to be despite seeing a drop in appearance this term.
Kante is convinced he can add extra quality to the Blues side.
“We know he’s a good player,” Kante said.
“He’s doing well for Dortmund and we are glad to welcome him to Chelsea.”
On the deal pulling through, Pulisic remarked, “It was a privilege to have signed for such a legendary club and I look forward to working hard towards being a contributor to their team of world class players.”
