Valencia have confirmed the signing of Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on a season-long loan. The Striker had been linked with a summer exit from the club and had alerted a number of European clubs. Dortmund, Sevilla and Milan were reportedly interested in the Striker.
Batshuayi has garnered a reputation as a top class finisher but has not been given the time to flourish at Stamford Bridge. the Belgium International joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2016 in a deal worth £33million and has scored 19 goals in 53 matches for Chelsea.
He most recently went on loan to German side Borussia Dortmund in January scoring 9 goals in 14 games. This led many to believe he could have a great season with the Blues. However, the striker is not highly rated by new manager Sarri who has apparently sanctioned the loan move to Valencia.
Sevilla were close to signing but Valencia offer of Champions League football was too good for Batshuayi to turn down. The Belgian should thrive in the more technical Spanish league than the Physical premier league.
Chelsea would be hopeful that he has a good campaign with the Spanish side as he could either return to the Blues next season or be sold for a healthy profit.
