Arsenal are a Club preferred by youngsters of the game simply because Arsene Wenger has had the ability to transform those talents into staunch professionals by handing them the opportunity to play.
Eyebrows were raised by the fan base of when the Gunners when the Club confirmed Takuma Asano as a signing because he was relatively unknown but Wenger has a master plan of the future for any of his signings.
The Japanese joined from Sanfrecce Hiroshima but he was sent on a season long loan immediately to German side Stuttgart so that he would get a work permit to play in the Premier League.
He featured in 26 Bundesliga games for the Stuttgart where he scored four goals, provided four assists and help the team gain promotion to Bundesliga. He has been handed another chance to star for the German side as confirmed by Arsenal.
“Takuma Asano will play for us also in the upcoming season. We’ve talked this over with himself, his agent and FC Arsenal,” the Sporting director of Stuttgart Jan Schindelmeister told Bild.
The player would have called it quit with Stuttgart if he had gotten a work permit or if they were not promoted to the Bundesliga or even if he has scantily played for them, but that has not being the case.
Arsene Wenger really believes in the player and rates him highly but he seem not to have him in his immediate plans because he has reiterated that he looks forward to the player’s development.
Wenger added: “He has had an impressive start to his career in Japan and we look forward to him developing over the next couple of years.”
