Official: Arsenal confirm the departure of another star

A handful of players have quit playing for the Gunners this season, following Unai Emery’s arrival to replace former head coach Arsene Wenger this summer.

Unai Emery had previously speculated he would be trimming back his squad this summer, including bringing in new recruits.

England international and Arsenal forward Stephy Mavdidi has joined the short list of players to exit the exit door at the Emirates.

The 20-year-old is set to complete a move to join the Old Lady Juventus this summer.

The forward is understood to have undergone a medical at Italy on Thursday.

The England U-20 international will very likely get a team shirt to play for the Turin side B team.

The 20-year-old is one of the finest crop of players to emerge from the youth ranks of north Londoners, but has yet to make a senior team debut for the Gunners.

Mavdidi’s inability to nail down an attacking berth at the club, has seen him serve loan spell away from the club.

Mavdidi enjoyed loan spells at Preston in the Championship and at League One’s Charlton, last season.

In all competitions, last season, the forward made a total of 26 appearances.

The youngster joins Colombian goalie David Ospina, Costa Rican Joel Campbell, who have both been prised away from the club.
