There is a culture at Arsenal that sees players taken as teenager and trained within the youth system of the Club before those that are outstanding break into the senior team of Arsenal.
That ideology is very well still preserved but it may be fading away because some of the youngsters are impatient and would not want to wait for their chances.
Yesterday, it was Chris Willock that left Arsenal for a lucrative deal with Super League side Benfica. Latest report have now indicated that Arsenal youngtser Josh Dawodu has jumped the ship and joined Sheffield Wednesday on a Saturday morning, reports Daily Cannon.
Apparently, the 16-year-old failed to impress within the youth system of Arsenal and he was not handed a professional contract. Wednesday are bent on offering the defender a chance to prove his mettle.
According to the Club’s official website, the deal was completed in April and the youngster star will be hoping to realise his dream of becoming a sought-after World Class player with the Owls.
Sheffield Wednesday fell short in the quest to return to the Premier League after losing 2015/16 Championship playoff final. However, we expect them to bounce back sooner.
Meanwhile, Arsenal edged closer to a deal for Alexandre Lacazette, and the deal is now expected to be completed.
