While the fans of Arsenal have been on the edge of their seat over the dearth of transfer activities at the club, Arsene Wenger has started a massive clear out at the club.
According to report on Arsenal official website, Arsenal have completed the transfer of Algeria international Ismael Bennacer on permanent deal to Italian side Empoli.
Bennacer broke into the scene of Arsenal in 2015, when he featured against Sheffield Wednesday via a substitute appearance. However, he has failed to impress Arsene Wenger and secure a place in the first team of Arsenal.
He was sent on loan to Tours where he spent the second half of last season with the Ligue 2 side – he made 14 appearances for the side and his season was less than impressive.
The 19-year old France born midfielder has decided to lace his boots for the Algerian national team. He featured for Algeria in their qualifier for the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
The youngster has featured prominently for the u23s of Arsenal but despite starring for their pre-season games, he has failed to break into the first of Arsenal but the move to Empoli might hand the opportunity to star regularly this season.
The clear out at Arsenal began with the sale of Gabriel Paulista and while fans expect Carl Jenkison to be sold permanently and Bennacer loaned, the converse has been the case but Wenger has the final say you know.
