I don’t think there is anything that excites the fans of a Club off the pitch of play other than the signing of quality footballer and Jose Mourinho has never faltered in this area.
Having completed the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica, Jose Mourinho is keen to go another better as he has sanctioned a deal for Belgium international and Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, reports the Sun.
The 29-year-old has been closely watched by Man United and Chelsea but it is the former who have offered him a contract to switch Roma for Man United. Mourinho is keen to replace Carrick on the long-term and Nainggolan is understood to be an option for the Portuguese.
According to Il Tempo, United have offered him £130k-a-week in wage, which totals to £6.6million-a-season after tax, in order to make the move but the player appears to fancy another season in Rome.
He was quizzed about a possible move to Old Trafford earlier this month and Nainggolan responded: “It can be true, it can be not true, that’s something that you have to know.”
He added: “When you play football you have to make choices and last season my choice was to stay [at Roma
“We’ll see [what will happen this summer]. I’m going to go on vacation and then we will talk about it.”
Nainggolan started in 35 Seria A games for Roma last term, and he scored 11 goals and provided five assists for the Giallorossi. He helps his team defensively and in the attack and is seen as a complete midfielder.
However, at 29 and fast approaching the twilight years of his career, he may not be around for too long but for the meantime, he will offer Mourinho a quality option in midfield.
