Manchester United made numerous bids for Tottenham’s goal poacher Harry Kane before the start of this season, but their bids were rejected by the North London club as Mauricio Pochettino refused to part way with the England international forward.
Though Pochettino claimed that he wants to keep Harry Kane for more seasons, there are some hidden reasons why the Tottenham’s top scorer refused to move to Old Trafford despite a huge-money offer from United.
According to Marca, Kane failed to join José Mourinho’s team in the last summer due to the love and respect he has for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino who has huge faith in him.
The England international was reportedly going to receive double amount of what he currently receives at the Wembley stadium if he had joined United before the start of this season, but Kane reportedly told the Red Devils sporting director that he’s not enticed with the money because he enjoys being with the Whites.
Marca further suggests that Kane and Dele Alli might move to Real Madrid in the summer should the Argentine manager secure the Los Blancos job ahead of next season.
United boss José Mourinho eventually cooled his interest in the player when he completed the signing of former Chelsea and Everton player Romelu Lukaku before the start of this season. The Belgian striker has been struggling in front of goal this season, and he will hope to return back to form ahead of the summer World Cup tournament.
