Juventus have shown interest in signing Manchester United midfielder Maroaune Fellaini after missing out on Nemanja Matic.
The Italian champions were also interested in Matic before the Serbian international £40 million move to Manchester United and he was in a spectacular form in United’s 4-0 win over West Ham on Sunday.
Juventus have struggled to replace Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba over the last two summers and they now have Fellaini on their transfer list, according to the Sun.
Juventus are said to be considering a move for PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi and a deal could be concluded this week but the report from the Sun claim the Serie A giants would turn to Fellaini if Matuidi’s fails to go through.
Turkish Galatasaray were also linked with Fellaini earlier in the summer but Mourinho is not willing to let go off the Belgian international, claiming that it would be easier to sign him than to get Fellaini.
However, Juventus believe Mourinho will change his mind following the arrival of Matic from Chelsea and are preparing a bid of £22.5 million for the former Everton man.
Massimilino Allehri is keen to strengthen his squad after losing 3-2 to Lazio in the Italian Super Cup, as he wants Fellaini to partner Miralem Pjanic in his midfield.
Fellaini joined Man United from Everton in 2013 and he is contracted to them till 2018. He made 47 appearances for them last season across all competitions, winning the Community Shield, EFL and the Europa League.
