Not Moura: Man United to agree deal for £45m-rated star wanted by Antonio Conte

José Mourinho is definitely willing to sign Spain international Marco Asensio from Real Madrid as the Portuguese manager made a huge money offer for his signature, claims Don Balon.

Asensio hasn’t enjoyed much playing time this season due to the return of Gareth Bale from injury, and he could be on his way out of Santiago Bernabeu as Mourinho is looking to add him to his squad before the end of the January transfer window.

It is believed that Mourinho wants to improve his team’s attacking prowess in the second half of the season. He has discussed with PSG over the release of their attacking midfielder Lucas Moura.


The Portuguese manager is also monitoring German playmaker Mesut Ozil who could be leaving the Emirates Stadium before the end of the month.

Chelsea are also reportedly monitoring the progress of the Spain international who broke into limelight with couple of wonderful goals for Real Madrid last season.

While answering to questions about his future, the youngster said he is happy working under Zinedine Zidane. He further admits that he needs to up his game if he must start playing regularly because there are many established players in the club.

Mourinho, however, hopes the youngster makes the leap from Spain to England as his blistering pace and technique will be more valued at United.
