Not Mbappe: Jose Mourinho to personally superintend record £177m deal for Balon d’Or prospect

Real Madrid youngster, Marco Asensio might be on his way to Manchester United if he’s tempted by the 5-year contract deal offered him by United boss, José Mourinho.

After the surprise purchase of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea during the summer transfer window, José Mourinho is also working on getting the Spanish youngster Asensio to boost his attacking strength. United are ready to spend a whopping sum of £177m for the 20-year-old forward, per reports.

Having impressed many pundits with his magical display of talent for Real Madrid at the expense of recuperating Gareth Bale, Asensio is currently one of the world’s biggest youngsters tipped as a future Balon d’or winner if he continues with his development in the game.

Despite the massive applause from Madrid fans and football lovers in general, Isco seems unhappy with the hype Asensio is getting from the stands, fans and coaches. According to him, it’s better to let the youngster keep improving with total calmness than letting him feel he’s on top of the world.

Asensio still has a contract with the Spanish giants until 2023. But as it’s always said “anything can happen in the game of football.” Don’t be surprised if you see Asensio pairing Rashford in United’s attacking front line by 2018.
