Arsene Wenger had claimed that he had his strongest squad last season but the team collapse and failed to make it to the top four of Premier League for the first time in 17-years. A major shake up in the squad of Arsenal is expected in the upcoming season and it has started with the signing of Sead Kolasinac.
The Gunners are also struggling to keep their player Alexis Sanchez, who is in the final year of his contract with Arsenal and has stalled over new deal with Club. Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich and Manchester City but reports according Starsports have indicated that the Gunners are now weighing up a swap deal involving Sanchez and Aguero.
Like Sanchez, Aguero is currently unsettled at the Etihad since the arrival of Gabriel Jesus to the Club in the January of this year and this has stirred speculation that he may be on his way out of Manchester City this summer. Meanwhile Sanchez is considering his future with Arsenal following their failure to qualify for the Champions League the inherent trophy draught.
Albeit the swap deal would have been good for both teams, the agent of Sergio Aguerro, Hernan Reguera has dismissed the possibility of the player making the move to Arsenal or any of his suitors.
“There is no doubt and fear. Sergio will remain at Manchester City, for sure,” he said in an interview with the Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb this weekend.
“There have never been any offers, they have never presented him with the chance to leave City. As I said, he is happy and will remain.”
Arsenal have been linked with Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe but even if they sign any of their aforementioned targets, they will be hugely affected if Sanchez leaves.
