French playmaker Nabil Fekir may have decided to snub Chelsea and join Arsenal in the January transfer window, this is the claim of a Journalist.
Fekir was on the brink of Joining Liverpool last summer but a medical condition scuppered his move to Anfield. The Reds had agreed a £54m move for the playmaker with Lille.
Although Liverpool have not retained interest in the player, Fekir is under the radar of Chelsea and Real Madrid, with the January transfer window fast approaching.
He is currently one of the key players for Lille this season and it is only a matter of time before he moves to a bigger club.
However, Matt Spiro, who is a French based football journalist, has claimed that he could seal a move to Arsenal given his relationship with Alexandre Lacazette.
“Real Madrid considering January move for Lyon captain Nabil Fekir, according to Marca.”, he tweeted.
“Chelsea still interested. When I spoke to Fekir earlier this month, he told me the guy he’s most enjoyed playing with in his career is Alexandre Lacazette.
“Just putting that out there…”
While Spiro has insinuated that the Gunners could sign him, French newspaper L’Equipe have reported that Chelsea are quietly working a deal for the player.
Super-agent Pini Zahavi has made contact with the player for Chelsea but it is left to be seen where the player ends up.
