Following the breathtaking form of Mohamed Salah for Liverpool in the past season, the fans of Chelsea labeled Man United manager Jose Mourinho with several names, but the Egyptian footballer has continued to lavish plaudits on the Portuguese tactician, who was his former coach.
Salah joined Chelsea from FC Basel with so much prospect in the January of 2014 under the auspices of Jose Mourinho. He was only a bit-part player for the Blues as he made only 19 appearances before he was sent on loan to Fiorentina in the Winter window of 2015.
Salah moved on another loan spell to Roma but the Seria A based club signed him on a permanent deal after impressive them in his debut season.
Klopp sanctioned a deal for Salah last summer and the Egyptian bagged the EPL player of the season award after scoring 44 goals in all competitions.
While many feel Salah is very much exasperated at former Chelsea and current Man United boss Jose Mourinho, the 26-year-old has continued to play down that report.
“I learnt a lot from Jose, from the club,” he told former team-mate Frank Lampard in an interview for BT Sport.
“We would meet each other in Chelsea, and with you, you always used to train alone after training and I saw you do that, I would always come to you and try to improve, and I learnt a lot.”
Salah dislocated his shoulder while starring for Liverpool in the Champions League final against Real Madrid and there is not telling if he’d feature in the upcoming World Cup.
