Arsenal have been told to pay £30million to sign Paraguay and Atlanta United attacking midfielder Miguel Almiron, this is according to reports.
Almiron has been on the transfer radar of Arsenal since last season but it appears that the MLS club are ready to allow him leave in January.
The 24-year Paraguay start moved to the MLS in 2016 and ever since, he has been one of the best players of the League. He scored 12 League goals this season and led his side to winning the MLS Cup.
The Gunners withdrew their offers for Aaron Ramsey. Although the Welsh midfielder has done very well this season to earn a new contract, his future is up in the air and he could be leaving in January.
Almiron has been closely monitored by Arsenal and Newcastle United but the appeal of playing for a top League club will certainly lure him to the Emirates.
Former Tottenham star Darren Eales spoke with Mirror Football where he revealed the valuation of the player, who could be allowed to leave in January.
I will only get out of bed when it starts with a 3! That is the sort of level it has to be for a player of his quality.
He’s that good? Yes, he’s great really.I am not surprised there is interest from top clubs.
He has got great ability. He is faster with the ball than without. he reminds me a lot of Gareth Bale in that respect, from when I was at Spurs.
He went from Paraguay to Argentina, proved himself, then came to America. One of his greatest qualities is he does both sides of the game. He is a mercurial talent.
He scores free kicks, he sets up people, like Jose Martinez in our final. He also tracks back. He will make a 60 yard run to back. He is the ultimate in term of going both ways. He is a team player.
