Chelsea primary January target Jamaican Leon Bailey has been advised to remain in Germany ahead of a mooted move to the west London outfit in January.
Bailey has garnered recognition and accolades for his showboating on the field of play. And strong links have tied him with a move to join Sarri’s Chelsea.
The Blues were tipped to land the prolific player over other interested suitors.
But former Premier League star Shaka Hislop, nw turned TV pundit believes taking the wagon to Chelsea will dim his chances of blossoming into a terrific player.
With Hazard still gaining points for everytime he is on the pitch for the Blues, and only recently bulldozing clubs with his attacking flair, ‘there is no rush’ for Bailey, who is keen on ignoring other clubs interested in his signature and joining Chelsea instead, says Hislop.
Hislop is afraid the budding star could be tucked in a corner as long as Hazard remains Chelsea’s playmaker.
“I think Hazard is going to be there for a while. He’s playing well, I think he’s enjoying his football. I felt that if Hazard was leaving Chelsea and soon, it would have been the summer just gone. It hasn’t happened.
“Leon Bailey is enjoying life in Germany and let that continue. There’s no rush to get to Chelsea so you can say that Eden Hazard is your team-mate. If you aren’t playing, you aren’t learning or growing in the game.”
