Medical scheduled in London, Arsenal to announce transfer of play-maker

Aaron Ramsey has been scheduled for a medical ahead of a potential five-year move with Juventus, this is according to reports.

Ramsey made the headlines in the summer after rebuffing contract offers from the Gunners. Consequently, the club decided against extending his transfer even though he would become a free agent at the end of this season.

He is free to speak with any club of his choice. While several European club have registered interest in his services, Juventus are believed to be front-runners for his signature.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, the Welsh playmaker has been scheduled for a secret medical in London.

Juventus have a knack for signing midfielders on a free transfer. Although they have denied a move for Ramsey but we recall that the situation was the similar with the transfers of Emre Can and Sami Khadira.

The report claims this medical will be the first part of the schedule before he returns to Turin for the final part at a later date.

The 28-year-old star will sign a five year contract with the Old Lady in a deal worth £140,000-a-week. He will also get bonuses if he features in 50 percent of the club’s games.

Arsenal succumbed to a surprise defeat to West Ham yesterday and they have been forced into the market. Ramsey may be sold this month for the Gunners to recoup some transfer funds.
