Serie B side Venezia are reportedly set to confirming the signing of Chelsea talent Harvey St Clair in the next few hours, suggest reports.
The Italian second-tier outfit failed to achieve top-flight qualification after losing 2-1 on aggregate to Palermo during their semi-final playoff.
Their inability to clinch a spot in the Serie A last term has left the future of boss Fillipo Inzaghi hanging on a cliff, with strong indications he could loss his position as manager before the new season.
Inzaghi has also recently been linked to a host of other second-tier teams across Europe with Leeds United tipped as favourites to land him next term.
However, Venezia are keen to bolstering the stature of their squad and they are set to seal the signing of young Blues star Clair, confirms Sky Italia.
According to Sky Italia, the 19-year-old will be the club’s first signing this summer and agreeing to put pen to paper on a four year deal. The Daily Mail claimed in their report that the player is currently undergoing medical ahead of the move.
With a tally of 17 Premier League Two games, the London-born attacker was a regular figure in Chelsea’s U-23 team last season and has carved a good reputation for himself in the Scottish youth football.
Parent club Chelsea have also been linked to a number of top profiled players this summer, the likes of Thomas Lemar and Alisson of Roma.
