David Ospina is currently undergoing medical with Seria A side Napoli ahead of a season long loan move, this is according to reports.
Ospina, 29, arrived Arsenal from Nice in the summer of 2014 but he has failed to stake a claim in the first team of Arsenal.
Although his quality has divided opinion among the fans of Arsenal, it appears that Unai Emery does not want to work with the Colombian star.
The Gunners signed Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, leaving Ospina as third choice if he decides to stay put at the Emirates.
Napoli have signed two goalkeeper this season but they have been scampering around Europe to sign one more. The Naples based club have been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet and Michael Vorm but Ospina tickles the fancy of Carlo Ancelotti more than their other targets.
According to teamtalk who cited a report from Calciomercato, Arsenal have reached an agreement with Napoli for the transfer of Ospina albeit on a season long loan move. A clause to make the deal permanent has also be inserted in the deal per the same report.
The deal is believed to be in the regions of €1million.
Arsenal are looking to recoup some funds and it is certain that some of their players will be sold before the close of the window.
