Maurizio Sarri to sanction Chelsea deal for 18-year-old midfielder

Chelsea fumbled in front of their fans, despite Sarri naming a strong side against Foxes Leicester City.

Chelsea are on levelled points with Arsenal, but at fourth place. Chelsea’s position on the table is currently under threat and things could wind up getting tougher for them.

Empoli promising kid Hamed Junior Traore is catching the eye, while having one of the biggest moment of his career at the Italian outfit.

The midfielder is displaying promising signs that has caused Chelsea’s boss Sarri to steal a look into the player’s profile.

Sarri is keen about adding extra depth in his squad. And has been rumoured to raid his former club for the 18-year-old.

Traore has been producing the goods at Empoli, making a tally of nine appearances this campaign for the Italian topflight. Add to that, a further four appearances from off the bench.

His rise to Empoli’s senior ranks is telling and Sarri will attempt to bring the youngster to Stamford Bridge in January, according to reports.

According to Italian outlet II Tireno, as cited by publication Calciomercato, Sarri is eager to begin talks with Empoli’s president Tuscan Corsi over a deal to bring the 18-year-old to west London.

It is said Sarri will not be on his back foot over the deal and will use his contacts at the club to bring things forward.
