Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he could be without seven of his first team players when Chelsea take on Vidi in the Europa Cup on Thursday, per reports.
Sarri emphasized at the start of the Europa Cup that he would rotate his squad to keep his players fresh for all games. The fixtures are becoming tighter and the Blues are on course to end the season in the Premier League in a grand style.
Chelsea have a large squad which has seen players like Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley left to play bit-part roles. Nonetheless the aforementioned stars are set to start against Videoton, with the Blues favourites for the three points.
Speaking ahead of the game, Sarri revealed the number of Changes we should expect.
“I have to speak to Pedro. He is doing better, like Loftus. Every player is at a level, but I have to change maybe 5,6,7 players.
I don’t know, I want to see the training tomorrow morning and this afternoon. He was unlucky in the last three weeks with the national team. He had a problem in the last 5 or 6 days he has been better. He is able to play tomorrow.”
