Manchester United will round off their preseason tour with the match against Italian club Sampdoria on Wednesday, August 2 by 7:45pm (UKtime) at the Aviv Stadium in Dublin.
Jose Mourinho’s men won their last match against Valerenga by 3-0 in Oslo, Norway and will want to end their preseason on a high note. They have played in four games and lost only one of their matches so far, the 1-0 loss to Barcelona.
Mourinho will be pleased with the success recorded during the preseason and will hope his side would do even better when the Premier League starts in the next few days.
New signing Nemanja Matic is a tad short of fitness and he is not expected to star for the side but he could be on the bench while Jesse Lingard, David De Gea and Antonio Valencia could return after being rested for the match against Valerenga.
Another summer signing Romelu Lukaku has settled in at his new club quickly and has scored three goals so far, he is expected to continue as the lead attacker for the Red Devils
Manchester United will face Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on August 8 before their opening Premier League match against West Ham on August 13 at Old Trafford.
We run a rule on how we think they will file out later today.
Probable XI: David De Gea; Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Daley Blind; Marouane Fellaini, Ander Hererra, Paul Pogba; Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford.
