Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been outstanding for Blues this season, despite seeing games hard to come by in the Premier League.
Loftus-Cheek is out on injury, but his stay off footballing action could extend until the end of the season, claimsThe Sun
The England international midfielder could miss England’s UEFA Nations League Finals, scheduled to hold this year, by June, at Portugal.
Chelsea could enter contemplative mode over the midfielder future who has been knocked out of League action by a back injury.
It is understood the injury is a persistent problem, and Chelsea fear it could return again if not treated thoroughly.
The Blues are still trying to pick tabled options that have been spread out on the table, and having the player go under the knife in on the wings.
But that will rule out any early comeback for Loftus-Cheek. It could keep him out of the squad till the end of this campaign.
It is unlikely this will go down well with the player,as the youngster is trying to break into Chelsea’s senior side.
The 22-year-old has endured a bitter campaign under Sarri, and while things were beginning to marshal out in a good fashion, the suggestion to choose surgery will slow down his career which has only begun to gain momentum.
