Massive boost for Chelsea ahead of West Brom clash
All sights are set at the Hawthorns as West Bromwich Albion host Chelsea in the Premier League this night. A win for the Blues will see them clinch the title which will culminate into two League titles in three years and five since the club was birthed.
The Blues have been an object of praise from pundits following the standout and dominant performance of most of the players from the start of the season. Antonio Conte is expected to field his strongest squad in today’s game which has been dubbed as a final for Chelsea.
According to reports making the rounds by the Evening Standard, Chelsea have been boosted by the return of the best player in the Premier League N’golo Kante after the player missed the Blues’ win over Boro with a thigh injury on Monday.
Kante has starred for Chelsea from the beginning of this season and his absence last Monday was only his second for the Premier League this season. The report claims that the French midfield destroyer has returned to full training and is fit to regain his place in the middle of the pack for Chelsea.
The Baggies are comfortably seated in eighth position on the Premier League log and have nothing really to play for. However, Tony Pullis and his men would be looking to postpone Chelsea’s conquest of the title.
Manager Tony Pulis said: “They deserve to be where they are and have been most consistent team [but] we will give it our best.”
Kante has been the man stopping Chelsea’s opponents from enjoying possession. If Chelsea secures the title today, it will be Kante’s second in his second Premier League season.
