Manchester United remains one of best breeding grounds for youngsters and this is evident in the amount of talents the club has churned out. The latest of such player is 19-year-old English youngster Marcus Rashford.
Even though the rise to fame of the player is sudden but it cannot be argued that it is not merited as reports have indicated that the attacker is the 2016 leading scorer for Manchester United.
Rasford netted his tenth goal in all competitions against Watford and the feat did not just make him one of the most prolific teenagers of the English League, it made him the leading scorer for the Red Devils in the Calendar year.
It was against the Vicarage Road Landlords that Rashford debuted for United on the bench in 2015. However, he was handed his first League start against Arsenal where he won the Man of the Match scoring two goals and providing an assist in a 3-2 victory. The versatile attacker joined the academy of United as a seven year old and ascended the grade to the first team of United.
Rashford is strong on the ball and can play in anywhere in attack but Jose Mourinho revealed that he sees the youngster as a centre forward.
‘I trust him [Rashford] completely. I know his future will be absolutely brilliant.
‘He is mainly a No 9 and if you want to play him in different positions, we need to work him, we need to improve him, but his big personality is there.’ Mourinho said of him.
Mourinho is know to fancy established players but given the quality of Rashford, he’s sure to get some playing time.
