Nigeria international Mipo Odubeko has been catching the eyes of Manchester United and the club is keen on holding him down with a deal, to scare off rivals from scurrying down and baiting him with a lucrative offer.
The prolific striker has struck the eyes of many with great awe over his sterling performance and his goal scoring ability.
Odubeko, also a Republic of Ireland international, has succeeded in breaking the club’s teenage ranks, climbing even higher, reaching and breaking into the Red Devils U17 team.
The Old Trafford outfit are determined to keep him tied to the outfit and have given the approval to pan out a scholarship deal.
It is understood the deal will run until the summer of 2021. The offer will be activated before the start of the second half of this season.
Odubeko joined United from St Joseph’s Boys and whispers, floating around, say he could be promoted into the Red Devils U18 at the turn of the year.
Odubeko has notched up a good tally of goals, including assists to his teammates. The Nigerian international is one of United’s best frontmen and attempts to pin him down to ward off any competition will not only boost his resumé, but could see him steer the senior team in the near-future.
