After seeing Arsenal’s season crumble, Arsene Wenger has admitted that he needs more quality players in his side, so he’s expected to raid the up-coming transfer window to bolster his team with top-notch players.
Arsenal were heavily linked to a plethora of star players in the January transfer window including Torino’s finest finisher Andrea Belotti. Reports according to Daily Canon have indicated that Arsenal’s chances of signing the player is huge after Torino’s boss admitted that it would be difficult to stop the player from leaving.
Belotti made the move to Turin from Palermo in the summer of 2015 but he had a poor debut season in which he scored 12 League goals in 35 appearances. This term, the 23 year old Italian has taken the Seria A by storm, leading the goal scoring chart with 25 league goals in 30 appearances.
Given his goal scoring prowess, Arsenal are expected to reignite their interest in the goal poacher when the transfer market comes alive, this was alluded by Sinisa Mihajlović, who revealed that a big offer for the player may not be rebuffed.
“However, big offers will come sooner or later and at that point it could be hard to stay.
“Belotti is 23 and he could score 30 goals each season. Some big club could come here and offer him five, six, seven million a year for five years. Mihajlović said:
Oliver Giroud has been in Arsenal for sometime but he has proven without doubt that he lacks the quality that can fire Arsenal to the title. Sanchez has been the man doing the yo-man’s job for us and a player like Belotti would complement Sanchez’s effort and increase the potency of our attack.
Wenger must be willing to break the bank for Belotti or players in his stead. A major reason why the Italian may not favour a move to the Emirates is if Arsenal fail to make it to the Champions League, it will be a huge turn off for several transfer targets as well.
