There are only a handful of footballers that enjoy regular playing time when their coaches are changed – every football manager have an ideology of football and they favor players who are able to perfectly execute their game plan built on their ideology.
Since the appointment of Antonio Conte to the helms of Chelsea, Willian has lost his place in the first team of the Blues but the Brazilian has pledge his future to the Premier League champions amid keen interest from Manchester United, report Starsports.
While playing under Jose Mourinho in the penultimate and last season, Willian was the best player under Mourinho and the Portuguese tactician is heavily keen on a reunion. The Brazilian attacker is most likely to secure a regular place in the Red Devils squad.
Nonetheless, Mourinho may have to step of his chase for his other transfer targets as Willian have committed his future to the Blues.
“My future is here with Chelsea,” Willian said.
“I have a contract until 2020 and I’m happy.”
Chelsea conquered the Premier League last week but Willian have had scanty cameos in the League from the start of this season. He has started in only 13 League games and 19 of his cameos have been from the bench.
His position has been affected by the formation employed by Antonio Conte, which sees the left and right full backs double as the right and left wingers. At United, he will play ahead of Martial and Lingard who have struggled to impress Mourinho this term.
