José Mourinho is keen on plotting a big money move for World Cup star Ante Rebic.
The Croatia sensation has been locked as a potential fit for the Red Devils this summer and Mourinho is determined to make that happen.
United joins five other clubs in the race for the 24-year-old signature. According to German outlet Bild via MEN, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Naples side Napoli, all quartet are currently vying for his signature.
Rebic plays for German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, and is contracted at the club until. 2021. His current valuation stands at 50 million euros (44 million pounds).
The Bundesliga outfit however, has hinted they are willing to cash in on the World Cup goalscorer against Argentina in Croatia’s 3-0 win, if the right buyer comes along.
Frankfurt’s sporting director, Fredi Bobic told Sport1: “Of course we know that a lot can happen when a big club makes an offer.
“We cannot compete economically with the big ones, but that’s nothing new.”
Rebic has been a delight in the Croatian team and his success for the Blazers has won him accolades from Frankfurt.
If he joins United this summer, it would make him Mourinho’s fourth signing after Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.
