Manchester United are keen on tying down English frontman Marcos Rashford beyond next season when his contract will run down.
The England international has seen his stocks take a new rise following his amazing performance for the Mancunians so far.
Rashford has hugely impressed and improved under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is reportedly lined up to clinch the job as the outfit’s manager.
As for Rashford his contract with United is expected to terminate in the next campaign, but United have reportedly begun talks to keep him. There’s still some stalling between both parties, but the differences in his new contract which is still cooking is expected to be resolved soon.
If they succeed, Rashford could earn double his wage at United. He could trouser as much as £200,000-per-week, one that would see him earn the same wage as fellow teammate Anthony Martial who was the meat of transfer talks last year until Jose Mourinho was given the boot.
However, if United move at a snail’s pace in handing him a bumper package, they could lose him to other European clubs.
Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen on adding extra quality to their side and all trio clubs are said to be keeping close tabs on Rashford’s situation at the club. If putting pen to paper turns out difficult for the youngster, they are ready to pounce on him in the summer.
