For this season, Jose Mourinho is a player short of the number he wanted to sign in the summer transfer window. This has condemned the Portuguese tactician to go into the market when it is re-opened in January,
United appear a tad short of quality and option especially in the attacking midfield area but report according to the Daily Express has revealed that Jose Mourinho has made Spanish and Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler his prime target and he will try to sign him in January.
Soler made his debut for Los Che in the December of 2016 but he has become a key figure for the La Liga side, playing as an attacking midfielder or a winger.
In 11 La Liga appearances, the youngster has scored a goal and provided four assists, leading Valencia to second spot on the Premier league log. His strides for his club has not gone unnoticed and Man United are willing to prise him out of Valencia.
The report further stated that Soler is valued at around £40m but the Red Devils are unwilling to pay such colossal sum on a player who is still realising his potentials. Man United are willing to include their loanee Andreas Pereira in a swap deal in a bid to offset the transfer fee.
Pereira joined Valencia on a season long loan deal this summer but he has revealed that he wants the deal to be made permanent.
