Man United to agree deal for the transfer of Tottenham

Talks surrounding Joachim Andersen’s move to the Premier League, pointing particularly to Old Trafford have swelled since United’s manager Jose Mourinho identified him as a “potential” world classer.

Italian news and sport outlets peddled rumours of an impending move away from Italian outfit Sampdoria in few days ago, and United got in the fray as the club looking to sign him.

Andersen recently inked his signature under a new contract which ties him to the Serie A outfit until 2022, but that has been touted as a canny move by the club to topple over his price fee.

The Danish star has enjoyed a good start to his debut season in the Serie A with Sampdoria since joining La Samp from Jong FC Twente, from Dutch Eerste Divisie this summer.

No doubt La Samp pulled out a smart move hold him down for the next four years after getting wind of rumour milling about United’s sudden interest in the 23-year-old.

London club Tottenham registered also their interest in the defender as Mauricio Pochettino plans to draft more options in his backline, after his club sat out on transfers in the summer due to ongoing renovations of their new playing ground.

Andersen’s new contract does not have a clause barring him from join other elite European clubs, which means he could be snapped up in January. If this is set to happen, Sampdoria may afford to lose him, but to the highest bidder.
