Senegal international and Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly remains top target for Manchester United in the summer, according to emerging reports.
United had a forgettable start in the Premier League this season – they were one of the highest conceding sides until the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Although the Norwegian manager has steadied the leaky defence of the club, United will be shopping for players in the summer and they are going to table a bid for Koulibaly, reports the Express.
Koulibaly joined Napoli in the summer of 2014 from Genk, since then, he has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in the Serie A and Europe.
United have a plethora of centre-backs at the club but they could disposed off with a couple off them in the summer.
Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmain, Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly are linked with transfers and United may cash in on them to sign other quality players in their positions.
Koulibaly is valued at £100m but it is left to be seen if United will fork out that mammoth amount to sign him.
