Man United to agree £30m deal for Chelsea forward, Jose Mourinho confident of deal

Manchester United are looking to seal a deal for Chelsea and Brazilian forward Willian and they are very confident of completing a deal for the star, this is according report.

Willlian was on the transfer wish-list of Manchester United since last summer and the club held talks with the Brazilian to help him end his spell with Chelsea. Willian was a fringe player under Antonio Conte last season and up until the start of this season, he played mostly from the bench.

Willian is currently tied to a Chelsea contract until 2020 but Man United will make another attempt to sign him and they are hopeful that they will be able to convince him to join them.

In the summer of 2013, Jose Mourinho signed the 29-year-old for Chelsea in his second spell with the Club from Anzhi Makhachkala in a deal believed to be in the region of  £30m. The Portuguese manager wants to reunite with the star following his impressive performances for Chelsea.

Chelsea dropped out of the top four and further slipped some point away from fourth placed Tottenham on the Premier League log – this will affect the future of some of the players who will fancy playing in the Champions League.

After the signing of Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, Mourinho claimed he will no longer sign an attacker but reports according to the Sun has revealed that Willian will be signed as replacement for Juan Mata.

Mata has struggled to impress under Jose Mourinho this term and the Reds are now looking to cash in on the player.

Mourinho wants to strengthen his squad so as to be able to compete with the likes of Manchester City.
