Man United to agree £100m deal for in-demand attacker

Manchester United are reportedly plotting a move to bring Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho to the Theatre of Dreams.

United is said to have started talks of a possible move to Old Trafford.

Coutinho has struggled to hold down a spot at Barcelona this campaign, losing his spot to Ousmane Dembele and Arturo Vidal.

Out-of-favour Dembele had been kept sidelined during the start of the season due to his ill-behaviour, however, things have flipped to better side for the star, who has sneaked the Brazilian spot.

Dembele’s constant appearances on the pitch has spinned talks that the Brazilian could be on his way out since being shouldered out of his spot.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen on signing the prodigious attacker, reports say.

PSG signed Neymar from the Catalans for world-record fee last year, splashing big on Coutinho won’t make a dent in their very deep funds.

But it remains unclear if Barcelona will ship him out of the club, given how much was splurged on the star, luring him away from the Liverpool.

Coutinho’s move to Barcelona was fuelled by the desire to play for Barcelona, despite suggestions saying he had done it to trouser a higher paycheck, a rumour the 26-year-old has quickly dismissed.

United are sixth in the Premier League log, with more games on the horizon.
