Frenchman Anthony Martial is still eager to leave United despite the club offload Jose Mourinho this week, report the Express.
The Portuguese boss fell out of favour completely, after his side were routed by Liverpool, 3-1, plunging then further, backwards in the Premier League table.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will act as caretaker for now, while United try and convince Mauricio Pochettino to join them and steer the club back to its old ways.
Martial has been pivotal during Mourinho’s stint at the club. He has had to save the big outfit on a couple of occasions when they had taken a heavy slam against small teams.
His return back to good form is a huge testament considering playing under a manager who panned harsh critics all the time.
It would have been surprising for many if the Frenchman remained keen on leaving Old Trafford. But reports have suggested he still keen.
It is said Manchester United players believe the striker wants to be offloaded by the club.
Martial wants to be paid a heftier wage according to United sources and could peg that as a reason to exit the outfit, if his wages are not increased.
Whether he can be convinced to stay, however, is something only time will tell.
