Man United set date for the announcement of Alvaro Morata’s deal

The countdown the opening of the summer transfer window has begun, we now expect reports on transfer to come in thick as the Clubs in Europe and the Premier League prepare for the upcoming season. GFN, will continue to bring to you rumors and Gossips.

Report emerged last week that Jose Mourinho had assured Man United target Alvaro Morata of a regular  place in the attack of the Red Devils. Mourinho seem not to be the only one that has convinced the Spaniard to join – we understand that David De Gea and Ander Herrera have also persuaded the striker to make the move to Old Trafford, reports the Metro.

Following the breakdown in talks with Antoine Griezmann and Romelu Lukaku, Morata emerged as first choice for Mourinho and he is expected to step in to the big shoes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was released recently. Morata is a second fiddle player at the Santiago Bernabeu but he’ll be guaranteed regular playing time with Manchester United.

Morata has now agreed to join United but the completion of the deal is subject to Madrid accepting an offer for the goal poacher. They are holding out for £70m which is a tad too much for the goal poacher methinks. However, knowing how generous Mourinho is in the transfer market, he may meet the player’s valuation.

As stated by the report, Herrera and de Gea have hinted Morata on how good it feels to feature for United. it is also widely reported by the Express that he may be confirmed a United player this week with his teammate Sergio Ramos resigned to losing him already.

“We will see,” Ramos said. “It will be [sad] if Morata leaves.

“I have a special affection for him and I always wish him the best. It is not up to me if he stays.”

  1. Wood Ward must hasten up transfer activities at the club to enable the new players settle in well.It seems the transfer of Ivan Perisic is dragging on for too long especially when money bag PSG seems to be nose diving. Perisic shall be a great deal for man u.

  2. I think it is a great moment now to met what José desire now, cos if look at last season, we will understand that we achieved our aim with luck, simply because the lack of bench, so since we have through from d last season poor performance, so all we need now is to buy what we want now before clumsy transfer market.
