Gary Cahill has been heavily linked with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray but latest reports have indicated that Man United are interested in the defender.
Cahill has watched all the Premier League games of the Blues from the sidelines since the start of the season and he is about the last person on the selection pecking order of Sarri.
He was linked with a move away from the club in the summer but Chelsea failed to broker a deal for him. The veteran English defender wants out of the London club and he has set his sight on the January transfer window to make a move.
“I don’t want to jump the gun but as things stand at this time, probably, yes [I might have to leave in January],” Cahill was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
There are rife reports that The Lions have been in contact with the representative of the player over possible move but the Mirror now claims Man United are also in the running for signature.
Jose Mourinho asked the brass of Man United to sign a defender for him in the summer but they failed to do so. Having started the season badly, he is attracted to his former player Cahill but the report has been described as shocking given the age of Cahill and the quality of defenders at the disposal of the Special One.
