Juventus will attempt knocking off Manchester United in the race for talented Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
United have been chasing the 22-year-old French playmaker since the January transfer window. They would have had less work in their hands if they were to fend off bitter rivals Manchester City only. But with Juventus joining the line-up for the star, it could prove tough for the Mancunians.
Ndombele was rumoured to be fine candy for United and Manchester City. And it was reported United already had a deal in the works with Lyon in a bid to snatch him first in the summer.
However, Juventus has suddenly stepped up to join the race, making it a little tough to win the midfield playmaker.
Italian outlet Rai Sports revealed that the French midfielder is being eyed by Massimiliano Allegri who is looking to beef up his midfield.
Though, Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey will come through the summer window after agreeing to join the Italian side for a free. Nonetheless, Allegri wants Ndombele. But his side will need to fork out a jaw-dropping sum of 78 million pounds to sign him.
This could put off Juventus interest due to their big January splash.
Ndombele joined Lyon from Amiens last term, and as racked up an appearance tally of 55 Ligue 1 games so far for the French outfit.
