Arsenal can pull all stops to keep 27-year-old Aaron Ramsey, or risk losing in to other European clubs in January.
Contract talks between the Wales international and the club has been stalled for some time.
Ramsey’s future is in the air at the Emirates and could be set to depart the sixth place finishers from last season.
Talks of his contract extension has got the Gunners back up against the wall.
New boss Unai Emery previously remarked he is very keen on working with the Welshman, who has always played a deciding role for the north Londoners.
Ramsey has reportedly won more matches on the field when playing for Arsenal than when trimmed from the squad.
If the 27-year-old midfielder should walk away from Arsenal, he could be snapped up in the winter market this January by Manchester United, according to British outlet The Sun.
The Gunners have seen a small pool of their players leave the Emirates this summer. Losing another valuable asset in Ramsey could scupper th0eir chances of boasting a strong centre this season.
During Wenger’s 22-year era as manager, Ramsey soared. He racked 28 matches under the Frenchman, finding the back of the net in 11 times.
But with mooted talks of a five year deal cooking at United for the player, his exit will not be surprising if Arsenal can’t tie him down with a newly improved contract.
