Man United have signed the perfect Nemanja Matic replacement

The Premier League went underway on Friday night, with United starting the opening game against Foxes Leicester City on the night.

Mourinho’s squad got off to an easy start after France World Cup winner Paul Pogba converted his spot kick when Foxes Daniel Amartey handled Alexis Sanchez’s deflected shot, in the second minute of the match.

Luke Shaw doubled their lead, tucking the ball into the net from a Juan Mata lofted cross, his first senior goal of his career.

But the Foxes replied with a consolation goal–an header from substitute Jamie Vardy.

Frenchman Paul Pogba who captained the Red Devils with Antonio Valencia knocked by injury, deservedly got praises and good remarks from boss Jose Mourinho, driving his side to victory.

Despite the French midfielder stealing the headlines, Brazilian international and United midfielder Andrea Pereira’s performance against Leicester City was eye-catching.

The 22-year-old who was voted the Red Devils under-21 player of the year in 2014-15, returned to being sensational at the middle of the park for the Mancunians in their home clash against Leicester City.

The Belgian who placed at the base of United’s three-pronged midfield, was excellent on the night, astutely squaring accurate passes without fretting or get lost in the middle.

Shaw was outstanding for the Red Devils during their pre-season tour in the US.

After that vintage display, the 22-year-old may yet have convinced club chief Jose Mourinho he deserves to be fielded more, even when his trusted enforcer Nemanja Matic returns to the field of play.
