Man United have decided to replace David De Gea with £70m-rated goalkeeper

Manchester United have lined up English and Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as probable replacement for David De Gea.

De Gea is running down his contract with United and he has demanded a colossal sum before he would put pen to paper on a new deal. Following his demand, there is no telling if United will meet his demand and his future has been thrown into uncertainty.

According to a report by the Sun over the weekend, United have an eye on Everton Pickford, who was calamitous in the Toffees game against Liverpool on Sunday. Divock Origi scored a late winner from a looping pass from Virgil Van Dijk.

Although he could not put up an impressive performance yesterday, Pickford stats speaks volume of his quality as he has replicate good form across club and country.

However, most of the fans of United feel they should be going for a big name from a big club. Names likes Jan Oblak, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Keylor Navas easily comes to mind when you think of the keepers that United should sign.

The leaky defence of United has let down the Spanish goalkeeper on countless occasion. He is no longer considered the best in his position in the Premier League but on his day, he is a quality keeper.

Pickford is valued at £70m according to reports.
