Mourinho has reportedly shown interest in Arsenal left-back as he is in desperate search for a player that will play in the stead of Antonio Valencia, this is according to report.
The Portuguese manager has accepted the fact that he might lose the services of the England left-back in the summer after he criticised the player for his dull role in the team’s 2-0 victory over Brighton last weekend. Presently, he is searching for a new player to occupy the position.
The Red Devils have set their eyes on Arsenal and Spain right-back Hector Bellerin and they are ready to battle Juventus for his service. The Premier League giants were linked with a move for the player last winter, but Arsene Wenger was reluctant to let go of the former Barcelona academy product.
According to the Daily Mirror, Bellerin is being monitored by Juventus manager Maximiliano Allegri as the Italian manager wants to bolster his squad ahead of next season. Having seen Alex Sandro’s dip in form, Juventus are now hoping to bring the Arsenal player to Turin so as to release the out-of-form Brazilian defender after the summer World Cup.
Bellerin who has been impressive for the FA Cup Champions this season, still has a contract with the North London club which will expire in 2023. However, Arsene Wenger is reportedly willing to sell the 23-year-old in the summer as long as there are good offers from his suitors, according to Sportmail.
The Frenchman is believed to receive a whopping sum of £50m before he could sanction the player’s move away from the Emirates stadium.
