Man United agree deal for the transfer of highly-rated CB

The fans of Man United may have been fantasying about their front line since news broke that Romelu Lukaku would switch Goodison Park for Old Trafford. Apparently, Lukaku may be the biggest buy of this summer.

Away from the hassles of first team football, Manchester United youngster Regan Poole is on the cusp of switching Man United for Northampton Town on a season long loan deal, reports Daily Mail.

The youngster joined Man United in the summer of 2015 from Newport County, where he broke into their first team under the auspices of the current manager of Northampton Justin Edinburgh in the year he joined Man United.

Justin Edinburgh has retained interest in the player since May but the player wanted to stay put at Old Trafford. However, he has now agreed to link up with his former mentor at Newport County.

Despite the presence of quality centre-backs at Old Trafford, Poole broke into the first team of Man United in February last year with a substitute appearance for the Red Devils in the Europa League game against FC Midtjylland.

Jose Mourinho has bolstered his defense this season, leaving the 19-year-old Welsh star with almost no chance of starring for United. His best bet at first team football is away from the Club and he will be hoping to make an impression while on loan.
