Man united agree £47m deal for versatile attacker, Jose Mourinho delivers update

Jose Mourinho has remained coy over Manchester United’s pursuit of Croatian attacking midfielder Ivan Perisic, reports the Express.

Following the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Romelu Lukaku from Everton, the ‘Special One’ reveals that he needs two more signings and  Perisic has constantly headlined Man United transfer radar.

Inter Milan are due to travel to China for their pre-season tour on Tuesday but Perisic does not want to travel with the squad so as to force a move to Old Trafford. The coach of the San Siro giants Luciano Spalletti had revealed that he wants the player to stay put at Inter Milan but it appears to be against the players wish.

Inter Milan have stood firm on their asking price of  £50million but Man United are on the cusp of signing him for  £47m. But we understand that the Spalletti is asking for Anthony Martial to be included in the deal.

Man United continued their pre-season campaign on Tuesday morning as they thumped Real Salt Lake 2-1, with new signing Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan finding the back of the net.

After the game, Mourinho was quizzed about Man United’s deal for Ivan Perisic, as the journalist sought to know if the deal was close but his reponse was  “No idea.”

Perisic can operate behind the striker or the flanks, he will provide a quality option for Mourinho in the attack and midfield.
