Liverpool is preparing to dip into the January transfer market for a defender.
Jurgen Klopp and the Reds already have a laundry list of prospects to add, to stretch their backfield as they plan a big surge, one that would help leapfrog their rivals Manchester City.
Liverpool are yet to lift a silverware. They came as so much as a hairbreadth last season in the Champions League, but were completely panned by Real Madrid in Kiev earlier this year.
Klopp want a backfield boasting of talents he can hugely rely on, despite having the sturdy Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and few others who have displayed brilliant forms and efforts in the team this term.
Real Sociedad’s Diego Llorente has been handpicked by the German tactician as they look to avoid more blushes in the second term of this ongoing campaign.
Llorente, 25, is a centre-back in the Spanish outfit, and is reportedly under the radar of the Reds. It is understood Liverpool are not the only ones who have been credited with registered interests in the defender.
Newboys Fulham have their sights on him, and Pochettino’s Spurs are said to have joined the fray, also. The former Barcelona man is also on the radar of the Hammers, according to Mundo Deportivo.
And his stocks is expected to surge with the cluster of clubs hussling to steal him away for Sociedad.
