Liverpool are preparing for a summer hauling of talents when this season ends. Germany international Timo Werner tops the list of incredible stars Jurgen Klopp is keen on.
And reports doing the rounds say Liverpool have approached the RB Leipzig star.
According to reports in Germany, Reds have contacted the Bundesliga outfit over their interests in Werner.
The frontman is reportedly on the top of Klopp’s shopping list. There are rumoured reports the striker has agreed terms with Bayern Munich, which could be a real pain in the flesh for Liverpool, who have looked completely out of place in their frontline.
RB Leipzig boss Ralf Ragnick has quickly put down talks suggesting his playmaker has agreed terms with Bundesliga big boys Bayern Munich.
He fired saying: “A possible agreement is impossible for 2019 [right now]. We would have to agree, and we are not.”
“Nobody has approached us from Bayern. There will not be a case like Leon Goretzka and Robert Lewandowski between us and Timo Werner.
Ragnick added that such pre-season agreements do not exist in the player’s clause but hinted that “clubs that want him will report in the summer and then we will find a fair, mutually agreed solution.
“Everything else is not an option.”
There are speculations the 23-year-old has been offered double his salary wage which could sum up to 5.2 million pounds-a-year just to keep him tied at the outfit.
